Kim Cantor is the Chief External Affairs Officer for the National Alliance for Caregiving, where she leads the intersection of policy, advocacy, and communications to empower America’s 53 million family caregivers.

Kim is a strategic advocacy leader with more than 20 years of experience developing and implementing multipronged, comprehensive, aligned strategies to achieve mission driven results. Across a spectrum of experiences with non-profit patient advocacy organizations, a pharmaceutical company, and as a senior consultant with a health advocacy and communications consulting firm, Kim conceptualized comprehensive strategies to advance strategic priorities in patient education, community engagement, advocacy, federal policy and legislation, and health equity.

As Managing Director with Pyxis Partners, Kim helped drive strategy and deliverables for a multi-year, multi-million-dollar engagement award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) All of Us Research Program. She co-led the creation, implementation, and management of a funded engagement network with a goal of supporting community, healthcare provider, and researcher engagement. Kim directly with partners to build capacity and develop educational programming aimed at engaging diverse communities in conversations about the value of participating in research.

Prior, Kim served as Vice President, Advocacy and Government Relations with the Lupus Foundation of America providing leadership and strategic direction on federal legislative, policy, regulatory, and grassroots activation. During her tenure, Kim’s successfully secured multi-year funding increases and report language supporting federal lupus programs, led efforts to develop and disseminate the National Public Health Agenda for Lupus, and led a regulatory initiative aimed at improving drug development in lupus.

Kim holds a Master in Public Administration from New York University and Bachelor of Art from Bates College.
